Camping at Payson Lakes

Not the best fishing that day, but we had fun paddling around the lake anyway.

All of the kids enjoyed sleeping in a tent, EXCEPT OWEN!! Brent took him home at 3am after we were sick of the crying. He joined us again the next morning for breakfast, but Owen acted quite sleepless the next day, as you can tell.

Hiking to Timp Caves

One of our summer hikes was to Timp Caves with our next door neighbors, the Harts. Above picture is Sam, Mia, Becca, Ellie, Nathan. Below picture is me carrying Sam, which I did much of the way :)

NEBO! Yah!

Thank you, thank you. I did it. This was my goal for the summer. I've hiked Timp lots of times but never Nebo ... 'til now. It was amazing. Now which mountain next year?

Here you see Becca at her preschool graduation with her beloved teacher Tecia and her best friend Mia. Also, here's Nathan on kindergarten graduation day. Congratulation, cute kids!

Wow. It's been awhile.

Sorry to you faithful blog checkers out there. I've been scolded a few times lately for not using my blog. Fine. Here's a whole bunch of pictures from the last several months.

Birthday Season

Spring is birthday season for us, starting with Owen's birthday in February. Unfortunately, Owen was sick on his birthday and wasn't really amused by new toys or cake.

Sam, on the other hand, has been talking about toys and cakes all month. We had three different parties for him since the whole family/extended family was sick on and off all month.

In case you can't tell, the below cake is a Wallace & Gromit rocketship. Sam's a big Wallace & Gromit fan.

Happy Winter!

There's one good thing about the enormous drifts of snow that pile up in from of our garage ... once they're shoveled off, they make good sledding hills right in the front yard!

Ho Ho Ho!

This year was a big year for us ... every year we sit our kids on Santa's lap at the ward party and every year they burst into tears. This year no one cried! And Owen thought it was fantastic!! Hurray!

That's my Owen baby.

A yummy tradition

Thanks to my cute mama for the fun gingerbread house tradition. No graham crackers here ... we love the smell of baking house pieces, even though it takes all day. Here is this year's lineup:

Brent went for the classic Necco shingled, gumdrop hedged, M&M bordered look.

Jana's has a Santa in the chimney, and lots of flowers blooming despite the snow (my favorite part is the window boxes).

I was very impressed with Sam's doorknob (it took him awhile to get it stuck on there). It was also important to him to plant flowers in his yard, too.

Owen's (below) was created for him by his loving sister Becca who wanted lots of cute baby color mints on the roof and flower boxes like moms.

A blizzard struck Nathan's house (he plastered the walls with snow as well as the roof and ground).
And Miss Becca just didn't know where to stop with the candy ...
